  • Effet anti-infectieux [1]
  • Présenté comme immunostimulant (stimulerait la production des Ig A), inducteur d'apoptose (?) [2]
  • Protège de la toxicité rénale et hépatique de l'acétate de plomb [3], et de la toxicité de certains médicaments anticancéreux [4]
  • Antioxydant, diminue la peroxydation des lipides, l'hydrate de sabinène agit sur la prévention de la formation de peroxyde pendant le stockage des huiles alimentaires [5]

Effets indésirables

  • Non cytotoxique ni génotoxique [6], mais une autre étude signale que le 4-thujanol a un effet clastogène significatif, donc génotoxique [7]
