  • Feuilles alternes et distiques simulant une grande feuille composée-pennée

Histoire et tradition

  • Très forte amertume
  • On utilise aussi Phyllanthus amarus Schum. et Thom. ou Graine-en-bas-feuille comme anti-dysentérique
  • En médecine ayurvédique, régénère le tissu du foie, détoxique, rafraîchissant, laxatif, fungicide, anti-inflammatoire, diurétique
